Big changes are happening at The Block in Sm City North EDSA, particularly at the ground level where the SM Hypermarket is located!

They’re adding up more restaurants which gives shoppers (especially those who are doing their groceries) more options for a wonderful after-shopping dine-in experience in the area without the hassle of walking through the busy City Center, Sky Garden and Annex area where most of the restaurants are located.

One shop that you’ll find very interesting is the KUMORI Bakeshop and Cafe which opened its first store here in the Philippines last year at Landmark and SM Makati. Their newest branch is found at the lower ground floor of The Block in SM City North EDSA right in front of the SM Hypermarket.

KUMORI is a Nagoya-based bakery famous for its signature Hanjuko Cheese but my visit there a couple weeks ago led me to experience their newest product called KRONE (48 Pesos) which is basically like a huge staw pretzel with delicious Japanese custard filling. You’ll instantly fall in love with this one, I guarantee it!

Another product that I’ve tried inside their bake shop is the MOZZU CHIZO PAN (59 Pesos) which is I guess their own version of a three-cheese pizza but is definitely more satisfying.

You just pick up everything that you liked from the bread counters and then bring it to the cashier to have it checked out.

I also tried two of their best-selling drinks – the GREEN TEA LATTE (135 Pesos) and SUMMER PEACH TEA (110 Pesos). That Green Tea Latte is absolutely refreshingly glorious!

Can’t wait to come back to KUMORI again and try out all their other stuff.
