Witnessed last Saturday my very first Philippine International Pyromusical Competition at the SM Mall of Asia!
Well actually I have seen it before, but not up close and with a bay side front seating arrangement.
A better view to see the awesome (and magical) performances of different expert competitors from all over the globe.
The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition is now on its 7th year at the SM Mall of Asia. Twelve countries are scheduled to perform their awe- inspiring fireworks performances every Saturday night from February 13 until March 19 with the shows starting at 7:30pm until 8:30pm. Here is a list of the participating countries and their scheduled performances:
- Platinum Fireworks (Philippines – Opening Exhibition)
- Luso Pirotecnia (Portugal)
- Parente Fireworks (Italy)
- Pyrotex Fireworx (United Kingdom)
- Atlas Pyrovision (USA)
- Royal Fireworks (The Netherlands)
- Steffes-OligFeurwerk (Germany)
- Fireworks Spectacular (Canada)
- Skylighter Fireworx (Australia)
- Polaris Fireworks (China)
- Brezac Artifices (France)
- Platinum Fireworks (Philippines – Closing Exhibition)
Both the Philippines and Portugal delivered some very powerful fireworks display last Saturday but if I am to judge who is best among the first two performances, I would go for the opening exhibition of Platinum (Philippines). And I can assure you that my decision is unbiased and you can see it for yourself because I have attached the videos here below this post.
But first, here are some photos:
Also this year, special live performances by top artists and bands add to the excitement of the festivities!
Jinky Vidal of Freestyle was the special performer last Saturday. Here are the list of artists who will perform live on stage at the bay area during the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition:
- Morrisette Amon
- Sarah Lahbati
- Brownman Revival
- Side A
- UST Symphony Orchestra
- Sarah Geronimo.
The fireworks displays and live musical entertainment are best enjoyed from the Seaside Boulevard at SM by the Bay. Tickets are priced at P1, 500 for VIP (including dinner), P600 for VIP, P300 for Gold, and P100 for silver. Tickets are available at any SM Ticket outlets and SM Mall of Asia.
Here are the some of the fireworks videos I’ve taken at the opening performances last Saturday:
