People always have the notion that the process of selecting and purchasing is the hardest part of owning a car.

But little that first-time car owners know that getting one is fairly simple and easy compared to all your other responsibilities after.

It’s usually a combination of both financial and security requirements. Things that you wouldn’t want to overlook because it will get you into more trouble in the future if you did.

Initially you’ll have to prepare some money for the vehicle’s annual registration and/or comprehensive insurance.  Usually getting your OR/CR from LTO takes about a month or more. While the plates on the other hand, you get it “who knows when” – so also prepare to be flagged down by traffic cops once in a while to explain in behalf of our dear government agencies’ inadequacies.

For the vehicle, you’ll need gas (or diesel) which is providentially priced lower right now here in the Philippines compared to the previous months.. so that’s not going to be much of a problem.

But the real problems are traffic jams, poor roads, lack of parking spaces, idiot drivers and other factors that may put your vehicle in harms way. A light deep scratch on the car’s body can cause you as much as 20K worth of repaint job.

So you’ll also need to save money for maintenance, cleaning and emergency situations.

Vehicles are always exposed to external elements, and you can only do so much to protect it – inside and outside.

Frequent car users, usually spend serious amount of money on car wash and waxing alone – and they do this twice or thrice a month for the car wash and quarterly for the body wax. Just to give it some light protection from the elements like rain and dust.

Now, what would you say if there is a car protection technology that can already do away with the quarterly waxing, the regular visits to the car wash, protects the vehicle from elements and even to heavy scratches, and make it still look brand new for 6 to 7 years?

Wouldn’t it make you want to try and invest on it?

Well there is actually and the process is called GLASS COATING.

The Big Difference

Let’s define and compare all the car protection technology that we have right now in the Philippines:

  • WAX is a protective coating usually made from natural carnauba wax and polymers that provides a deep, reflective shine. This usually gives car protection for as long as 6-8 weeks.
  • SEALANT is a completely synthetic blend of polymers that provides long-lasting paint protection and shine. This usually gives car protection for as long as 5-6 months.
  • GLASS COATING uses Liquid glass (Silica Glass and Siloxane), a clear and pure liquid which hardens on contact with the air and provides a super durable high gloss protection. This can give your car protection up to 3-4 years.

There is however a better version of Glass Coating and this is currently exclusively available at ENDO SYSTEM PHILIPPINES and they call it the GF PowerCoat+  – Japanese coating technology that adds fluorine in the formula to make the protection lasts longer than traditional glass coating (up to 7 years)!

Imagine the savings you’ll get with a 7-year guaranteed protection.

AKIRA, Japanese born hairstylist and also one of the partners managing ENDO SYSTEM PHILIPPINES explains that all of their Glass Coating agent and materials are made and imported in Japan.  The technology being applied basically increases the natural luminosity of the vehicle to 20A grade and the coating does not deteriorate upon application because it is 100% made of glass. The effect will stay for 7 to 8 years with no shampoo and wax needed.

Another thing about the GF PowerCoat+ is that it produces a tough coating similar to the hardness of the type 9H pencil, 20 days after the construction. So it was advised that curing time should extend to that period to achieve superior durability.

It can also withstand heat up to 1600 degrees without damage.

Our gray Mitsubishi Adventure GLX got a taste of the full construction package from ENDO SYSTEM PHILIPPINES at their branch in Pio Del Pilar, Makati City.

ENDO experienced auto detailer Aldwen Micaros took charge of the whole process while giving me a walk-through from the initial cleaning, buffing and polishing and the two-layer glass coat construction of the whole vehicle.

AKIRA also said that they are now in the process of working out outlets in Cebu and Davao.

  1. Hi! After 10 months, how does the glass coating look? Are you satisfied with Endo Systems? Not a lot of feedback on this particular brand, so your inputs here are very valuable. Thanks in advance.

    1. Quite frankly, I can say that our Adventure still looks the same today from when it first got its coating even if it’s regularly out on the road. 🙂 So far, I’m satisfied, but it’s only been less than a year.
