A new terminal at the bay of Manila is finally opening its gate to the public. The Esplanade Seaside Terminal is adding life to the once boring but scenic bay side of the fully reclaimed area in Pasay City.

Located at the far right-side end of the Mall of Asia along Seaside Boulevard and within walking distance from the One Esplanade Events Place, it is accessible via the orange shuttles if you’re coming from the Gil Puyat (Buendia) cor. Taft Avenue terminals.  The Esplanade Seaside Terminal owned and operated by the SM Group of Companies as part of the SM Mall of Asia Complex provides the public with an alternative cruise and tour terminal to the CCP Harbour Square.

Esplanade Seaside Terminal is sure to provide a new experience to all MOA visitors with its Manila Bay Cruise, Dinner Cruise and Corregidor Tour via its partner operators Prestige Cruises, Sun Cruises and Orient Craft’s Charter AKA The Party Boat.  The terminal is also accredited to accommodate both domestic and foreign vessels.

The terminal formally facilitated the maiden voyage of its cruisers last Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony headed by SM Mall of Asia AVP for Operations Mr. Perkin So.

An early dinner cruise followed via the Prestige Cruises as they gave all guests a brief tour of Manila Bay and a fantastic view of the Manila sunset.  I was a little bit agitated before the start of the cruise since the waters at the bay is a little uneasy that afternoon and the fact that I am really not that cool with travelling by sea.  But the skilled helmsman of Prestige Cruises made it easier for the guests to dine at ease on their craft.  Plus, they also have two medical officers on board that checks on you once and awhile.

The view of the world-famous Manila Bay sunset is indeed more spectacular when you’re in the middle of the sea!

Manila Bay Sunset is never this FINE! #SarapNgLife

Mr. So said that the SM Mall of Asia Complex will be expanding with more leisure shops and restaurants near the Esplanade Seaside Terminal but still offer the public with ample and safe parking spaces.

I really love what they did with the area and looking forward to the future developments that they promised to do.
