Award-winning global leader in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, Expert Global Solutions (EGS) formally announced their expanded strategic partnership with leading global payment business Barclaycard US last August 21 (Thursday) held at the EGS Centris site located at Cyberpod Centris Three in Diliman, Quezon City.
Present during the ‘Barrio Fiesta’ themed event were EGS President and CEO Bob Segert, EGS Head of Client Solutions Jim McGrath, EGS Philippines President and Country Head Bong Borja, Barclaycard CEO Patrick Wright and Barclaycard Head of Operations Craig Peters.
“Barclaycard is a world-class brand and we are thrilled to be launching our relationship. Teams around the world have been working together to prepare for this day and we’re confident in our ability to deliver exceptional service to their customers at our flagship site in Manila,” stated EGS President and CEO Bob Segert.
EGS Philippines is present in eight strategic sites all over the Philippines, they began operation in 2003 and has, at current, a total of around 14,000 employees majority of whom are based in Metro Manila.
According to the partnership agreement between Barclaycard and EGS, two floors of the EGS Centris site will be dedicated to Barclaycard. At present, around 220 EGS agents are serving Barclaycard US, the partners are looking at increasing the number of agents to more than 700 strong.
“Providing excellent customer service is at the core of our business, and we’re excited to have found a partner who is passionate about providing customers with the same positive experience they expect from us,” said Patrick Wright, Barclaycard Chief Operating Officer. “With the help of EGS, we are confident that our customers will continue to receive exceptional support at every stage of their interaction with Barclaycard.”
Wright also mentioned that the floor design of the Barclaycard Center of Excellence at EGS Centris is similar to their Barclaycard center in Wilmington, Delaware USA.
EGS opened its Centris site last June occupying the entire South Tower of Cyberpod Centris Three, a 21-story building that aims to house more than 6,000 EGS employees. The ground level and mezzanine area will house the main recruitment center of EGS as well as various food establishments. The sixth floor offers a general purpose area of all employees: a clinic, the main pantry, and additional learning space, including five training rooms, plus a virtual training room. The site has its own recreation area and will have a gym with shower.
The seventh to 21st floors are for EGS operations and support functions. Each production floor has a small breakout room and pantry, sleeping rooms as well as training and copy rooms. In addition, there are two office rooms and eight meeting rooms on each production floor.
Parking is located at the second level up to the fifth level of the buillding.
“EGS Centris is a physical representation of our commitment to our customers and our employees. The site offers our employees a beautiful place to come to work each day. Their satisfaction with the work environment is reflected in the exceptional service we deliver to our customers,” commented Bong Borja, EGS Philippines President and Country Head.
