Supreme Sorcerer Doctor Strange will definitely have its movie time!
After getting American director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Sinister, Deliver Us From Evil), Marvel now eyes Jon Spaihts to re-write Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer’s original draft for the movie.
Jon Spaihts is known for his work in The Darkest Hour and Prometheus, he’s currently doing three other projects – Passengers and the reboot of Disney’s The Black Hole and Universal’s The Mummy.
Doctor Strange tells about the story of a selfish American surgeon who loses his professional career in a car accident. He visits a healer in the Himalayas known as The Ancient One, and learns to tap into psychic powers. In recognition of his selfless efforts to fight evil, he’s taught the mystical arts and sets out to defeat other evil sorcerers and various villains.
Who is playing Doctor Strange? – That could be anybody from Liam Neeson to Jared Leto – anyone who possess a great handsome facial hair perhaps. Marvel has made no announcement yet on the casting as well as the release dates.
