Box-Office Film Director WENN V. DERAMAS shares his experiences in making the film GIRL, BOY, BAKLA, TOMBOY during last Tuesday’s (December 17) special bloggers conference at Whistlestop Restaurant in ABS-CBN.
STAR CINEMA and VIVA FILMS brings to the big screen the awesome tandem of Direk Wenn and Vice Ganda in a heartwarming family comedy film about a quadruplet (all played by Vice Ganda) separated at birth and a product of a broken home that will be forced by dire circumstances to be reunited – and that is where all the conflict begins.
Direk Wenn said during the interview that GIRL, BOY, BAKLA, TOMBOY is one of his most challenging project to date and his first time to direct a single artist playing 4 roles and to make it realistically appear on screen that they are actually different people interacting with each other in one frame without Hollywood’s sophisticated motion sensor technology.
“We had to shoot scenes where the quadruplets are together four times and we had to accurately follow the continuity of each take,” explains Wenn.
Aside from the technical aspect of the film, Direk Wenn also addresses the sensitive issues of broken families, sibling rivalries, forgiveness and love. He was even moved to tears while explaining the movie’s theme and its very important message. Here’s a clip of Direk Wenn during the interview:
The movie also features Diamond Star MARICEL SORIANO, Joey Marquez, Ruffa Guttierez, Cristine Reyes, Ejay Falcon, JC De Vera, Kiray Celis, JM “Cho” Ibanez, Red Bustamante and Xyriel Manabat.
Also present during the blog conference are Ejay Falcon, Kiray Celis, Red Bustamante and Xyriel Manabat.
GIRL, BOY, BAKLA, TOMBOY opens in theaters nationwide on December 25.
