1460177_723239057703504_1456146318_nRHAPSODY is defined as a work of epic poetry, or part of a poem that is suitable for recitation.

In music, according to the almighty Google, rhapsody is a free-form piece composed of different tunes stitched together to produce a sound of highly contrasted mood, tone or colors.

So that’s what it is! (my AHA experience)  And all the while I thought that Freddie Mercury and the rest of the band Queen are just high the time they composed Bohemian Rhapsody.  That really made a lot of sense now.

And what a perfect name RHAPSODY is for the new DMCI Homes project that I visited last November 23.

RHAPSODY Residences which is located along the East Service Road of the South Super Highway in Sucat, Muntinlupa was described to us by Miss Tina, our gracious host during the tour, as a Neo-Asian-themed mid-rise residential community complemented by resort-type recreational facilities that promises a pampering experience for the entire family.

Surprisingly, we reached Sucat, Muntinlupa from Bonifacio Global City in less than 20 minutes and I honestly forgot if we took the EDSA-Magallanes South Super Highway (SSHW) interchange or the C5-SSHW access road.  Please do forgive the outer sheath of my brain for not effectively storing that data, my thoughts were in hibernate mode that Saturday morning still fazed by the busy work week.

Well anyway, that Neo-Asian thing that Miss Tina was talking about before we started our tour became really graphic for me as we entered the South Super Highway gate of DMCI Homes’ RHAPSODY Residences.  Another AHA experience for me that morning because apparently, Neo-Asian is a fusion of modern architecture and breath-taking Asian designs.

From the oriental gateway to the pagoda-like triangle arches roof tiles to the awesome lantern-lined pathways – this place is truly amazing.  Plus they have a Koi pond!  What could be more evidently Asian than that?

RHAPSODY Residences is a premier condo community project of DMCI Homes— a company of innovative builders and engineering experts that develops modern day living solutions for urban families. Each of its developments is built with world-standard craftsmanship borne from D.M. Consunji Inc.’s almost 60 years of expertise in the construction and development industry.  Its corporate philosophy is anchored on a deep understanding that buying a home is more about investing in a better way of living.

The project has eight 5-storey mid-rise condominiums and one 10-storey building that stands at a total land area of 38,510 sqm with 10,701 sqm dedicated to outdoor amenities like its grand clubhouse, jogging and biking path, basketball court, badminton court, activity lawns, garden areas and parks complete with gazebos and meditation areas.   Plus a lap pool, a lounge pool, a kiddie pool altogether in a beautifully landscaped pool deck right smack in the middle of the whole facility.

The nine buildings were all named after a musical instrument and currently, six of the nine buildings are already standing and ‘ready for occupancy.’  CARILLON was the first to be finished in December of 2012 followed by CELLO, CLARINET, HARMONICA, LYRE and the latest MANDOLIN.  MARIMBA, MARACA and the 10-Storey building VIOLA are all slated for the first half of 2014 according to Ms. Flordeliza Bartolome, Project Sales Manager of RHAPSODY Residences.

A total of 1,127 residential units and 709 slots of parking space.

The main gate facing Concepcion Street is still on its construction phase, so there’s actually two way in and out of the community for added convenience.

After a brief introduction inside the clubhouse’s receiving area we then went inside the CARILLON building to see how it feels like inside one of their Neo-Asian inspired buildings and what an actual unit looks like.

Inside and in the middle of the whole building is an amazing central atrium and garden with real trees.  While on top of the whole area is a sky roof that allows natural light and fresh air to flow freely.  Natural ventilation and lighting – two things that are scarce in most condominium and residential projects.  RHAPSODY Residences has that as a bonus points!

The single-loaded corridors houses PLDT-Fibr ready 2-bedroom units with a total of 52 sqm to 64.5 sqm of floor areas all equipped with a balcony – how cool is that!   DMCI Homes’ in-house interior designer Mitchel Pagdilao guided us to the model units found inside the CARILLON.

For those looking for a much larger space, RHAPSODY Residences also offers what they call as a ‘Tandem’ unit option which allows residents to combine two units into a single property.

After CARILLON, we then went to see what’s inside the grand clubhouse of RHAPSODY Residences.  The whole place is really packed with amenities that can convince you to not go elsewhere during the weekends.  They have a function room equipped with a bar, a multi-purpose hall at the top floor alongside a sky lounge area with an excellent view of the whole community.  They also have a fitness gym, an AVR, a game area, a laundry station, an in-door lounge area right beside the Property Management Office and a soon-to-open convenience store.

On top of all the wonderful amenities, they also have strong Wi-Fi Access in the Clubhouse area, back-up power for all the common areas, entrance and roving security personnel, provision for CCTV cameras and electrical perimeter fence for added security.

Overall, RHAPSODY Residences is truly a one-of-a-kind residential community befitting of the name as it exudes a harmonious fusion of modern amenities and a truly relaxing environment.  A fast-paced lifestyle stitched to a meditative state of mind.  That is how I’d describe living in this place.

It was an enriching experience for me to see how DMCI Homes work in meeting the needs and demands of the modern Filipino families through various residential projects just like with RHAPSODY Residences.  Thanks to feature-rich, ideally located communities, residents can finally enjoy a more comfortable and meaningful way of life where they can feel real good to be home.

We capped our tour at RHAPSODY Residences with a delicious lunch served to us by Connoisseur Catering.
