HARI is the South Korean singer who popularized the Gwiyomi Song or Kwiyomi Song (귀요미 송) which was released on February 18, 2013 and became an instant internet success. It was inspired by a gesture from rapper South Korean Jung Ilhoon of boy group BtoB.
The “Gwiyomi Player” gestures was mostly recreated by teenage girls from Southeast Asia, where the K-pop music genre has a huge and loyal fanbase especially in Thailand and in the Philippines.
Philippine media described the “Gwiyomi” song as the latest web-viral sensation that has unseated “Gangnam Style” to become the new K-pop craze. True to the cute style of Gwiyomi, Hari’s other singles are sweet, fun and easy to listen to.
HARI was born on February 6, 1990. Get to know more about Hari through her official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/26Hari
HARI visits the Ayala Malls this September. Just saw some Meet HARI ‘Gwiyomi’ installations at the Glorietta activity center yesterday afternoon. Head over to these Ayala Malls today (September 7) and you might get to meet HARI in person: Trinoma Cinema Lobby (CD Signing Only, 1:00PM), Marquee Mall Activity Center (6:30PM).
Hari Gwiyomi Live at the Ayala Malls is presented to you by Warner Music Philippines and the Ayala Malls, Astroplus, Odyssey Music and Video and Kashieca.
