So we went to Robinsons Galleria to take advantage of their ‘back-to-school’ sale. Actually, almost all the leading malls are on SALE last weekend but we purposely went to Gale to visit this specialty shoe store called Dr. Kong. They have this free foot assessment which can check your foot type (flafoot, high arch or normal) so that you can best choose the right shoes and foot support for your type of feet. I got introduced to Dr. Kong Shoes just weeks ago when I attended their Philippine launch at Guevarra’s. More on that story HERE.
Dr. Kong Robinsons Galleria is located at the Jumpstreet on the 3rd Level – that was our first stop. We had our daughter’s feet checked first. She was made to stand in this machine that checks for foot alignment and using this ‘silk-screen’ type tool to check her foot type.
Over-all assessment, Kirsten Sky has a mild high arch foot which is quite rare for kids her age since the usual would be on the flat-footed range. After the assessment a Dr. Kong store assistant assisted Sky in choosing the right school shoes and foot support for her type of feet. She tried three different styles before ending up with the one that she liked.
Aside from shoes Dr. Kong also has Bags and a lot of foot support products for all types of feet.
Before leaving, the store assistant taught Sky some foot exercises that she can do before and after wearing shoes to relax the muscles and prevent foot injuries.
Our next stop was the Department Store – where we bought a new school shoes for Kuya Neo and some other stuff that are not on the budget. Oh well, it’s a SALE.
