Caritas Manila in partnership with Shangri-laPlaza will hold an artwork and urban poor, inmates products exhibit at the Level 3 of Shangri-la Plaza,  EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard, MandaluyongCity on April 12-14, 2013.

Themed “Restoring Dignity through Art” the exhibit offerings will include “woodburning” artworks made by inmates from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City and urban poor products by the families that are being assisted by Caritas Manila social development programs.CaritasMarginsSintraForPanel

The exhibit is part of the social entrepreneurial activities of the Restorative Justice Program of Caritas Manila, which help generate income for prisoners. Caritas Manila, under its Caritas Margins social entrepreneurship strategy, helps to market urban poor products including artworks, handicrafts, and other products made by prisoners.

Twenty artworks are included in the exhibit.  Prices range from Php 5,000 to Php 15, 000 per piece.
