CHEF MARVIN AGUSTIN renews partnership with KNORR Philippines as its celebrity Chef Endorser.  With two of the most respected names in the food industry partnering together, expect only a continuous enriching of the Filipino family’s dining experience.
“It’s nice to promote something that you’ve been already using for a long time, inspired by the teachings of my mom, cooked and served well from the heart,” explains Chef Marvin. “Good food brings good friends and family together, so having Knorr by your side, is already an assurance that you have an ally in the kitchen, which I consider the heart of every home.”
Chef Marvin considers his mom Maria Teresa as his inspiration in everything he does, including being a chef.  In fact, his soon-to-be-opened and first Filipino family restaurant Maria Teresa is a loving tribute to his mom.
“The kitchen has bonded me and my mom in unexpected ways, and I am thankful that Knorr has given me this chance to share a part of myself to every mother in the country,” says the accomplished restaurateur-chef-actor. “Together with Knorr, we will provide modern-day Filipino families with dishes that respond to their needs, while making their cooking experience fulfilling, pleasurable and enriching.”
Chef Marvin Agustin said that from the renewed partnership will come out some exciting projects and surprises from Knorr Philippines  starting with the repeat of their OFW Salubong which they successfully did last month.  They plan to do the Salubong in other airport locations, probably in the provinces as well said MS. Kanta Pilipinas Performers Batch 1
Kanta Pilipinas Performers Batch 2
Kanta Pilipinas Performers Batch 3

The actor-turned-entrepreneur expressed his excitement with the project and the 24 Kanta Pilipinas contestants who were selected.  He said that the show’s pilot episode will happen either the last week of January or the first week of February.

“What makes this show really different is the stories behind the contenders.  I think the making of a great superstar singer or performer lies not only on how well you can sing but also on how well you can present yourself to your audience.  Hindi lang dapat magaling pakinggan kundi dapat masarap din pakinggan.”  Chef Marvin explained

The event also marks the launching of Chef Marvin’s website WWW.CHEFMARVINAGUSTIN.COM which will feature exciting places, restaurants, cooking demos, reviews and of course his recipes.  Basically anything and everything about food.

How many brands of Restaurants do you currently own?

Well we have Sumo Sam, John and Yoko, Mr. Kurosawa, Marcianos, Komrad, Johnny Chow, Kung Fu Kitchen, Tokyo Grill and we’ll be launching Gambino at Burgos Circle.  Also my mom’s restaurant MARIA TERESA which we plan to open next year.

Which is closest to your heart?

Sumosam of course because it’s the first.

With your busy schedule how do you find time for other things like showbiz, your family and yourself?

I find time – I recently co-hosted Artista Academy with Cesar Montano, I have two up-coming hosting projects for TV5 one is for a food-related show and the other one for a reality show.  So I am still very much active in show business.  With regards to family, of course I make time, especially for my two kids.  When they’re with me, I usually wake up earlier than usual and cook for them.  I sometimes take them to work which is probably why they’re also very much interested in what their father is doing like cooking and also the business.  For myself, well I golf.  It’s the newest addition to my morning activity.  I am also extremely blessed and surrounded by great people who helps me in everything.

What’s next with Chef Marvin?  What are the things that you dream of doing that has not happen yet?

Magbakasyon ng three Months – the longest vacation that I’ve had was the cruise that I went into last summer for 16 days but I wouldn’t call it a vacation actually because I was still working the whole time.  I was on Skype and still doing my routine jobs over the internet.  I would also like to direct a movie someday.  My production company would probably go into producing movies but I don’t see myself directing a movie yet, maybe after two years and after all the current projects.

What can you advise other people who wants to become a success someday?

The secret to success is not actually a secret – it’s just hard work and passion.  If you love what you’re doing you will never go wrong.

KNORR PHILIPPINES did not made a mistake in getting Entrepreneur of the Year, CHEF MARVIN AGUSTIN as their partner.  They are indeed a perfect match.  KNORR with their awesome products that makes every cooking a success and CHEF MARVIN modelling the right ingredients to a successful life.
