What is with the letter K that always seems to spark some form revolution.  From our very own Katipuneros (KKK) to the now worldwide phenomenon K-Pop or Korean Pop revolution.

But before the so-called K-pop mania happened Korea-novelas had won first the hearts of many Filipinos and with it their taste for food with shows that introduces Korean dishes to the ordinary pinoys.  Dishes like Kimchi, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Jjampong and Japchae have sprouted from local hotel menus along with restaurants that serves Korean dishes.

Speaking of authentic Korean dishes, I attended last Tuesday (September 18) the grand launch party of CHEF’S NOODLES PHILIPPINES at the University Mall, Taft Avenue near the corner of Vito Cruz and the main gate of DLSU.

Chef’s Noodles is a fast-casual Korean restaurant managed by the Simisim Group of Companies with the aim of delivering Delicious, fast and affordable authentic Korean signature dishes to pinoy foodies.

The program started with the arrival of Chef’s Noodles official endorser, model  and TV personality GRACE LEE.Also present during the launch are brothers DAVID and ANTHONY SEMERAD and of course Korean Celebrity Chef, CHEF CHOI IN SUN who is the face and also the professional experience behind the wonderful dishes of Chef’s Noodles.

Chef’s Noodle Philippines also announces its plans of expanding nationwide.  It will offer a good business model, especially for start-up businesses and interested parties who want to share the best of Korean fast-casual dining to the rest of the country.

The master franchise also plans to pursue a rapid expansion project especially through major malls and other commercial establishments to make Chef’s Noodle more accessible to anyone who has an appetite for delicious, hearty, and reasonably-priced Korean dishes.

Because of the number of people who went to the grand launch, I wasn’t able to try their signature dishes so I am going to go back there and I am very much interested with their STARKING FIRE SUSHI (Sushi Rice topped with thinly sliced Australian beef torched and served with special sushi sauce) – just thinking about it makes me drool.
