MUNDO MAN AY MAGUNAW is the afternoon television drama of ABS -CBN which stars Eula Valdes, Empress, Nikki Gil, Ejay Falcon, Tessie Tomas and Sylvia Sanchez which aired first January 2012.
The show is down to its final two weeks with its thrilling finale scheduled on July 13, 2012 (Friday).
Last Monday (July 2), the whole cast met with the press to express their gratitude to everyone who have been a part of the TV show and all its viewers.
A teary-eyed EULA VALDEZ said that this may be one of the best group she’d ever belonged to (referring to all the cast and crew of Mundo Man Ay Magunaw). Her only wish was that the management creates a book two and employ the same people to work on it because she loves working and being with the group.
“My relationship with my co-actors really became very personal, to the point that we share stories about our own families,” Eula said. “The whole cast and even the staff are sensitive to each other’s feelings that’s why if we’re making jokes about each other, nobody gets offended.”
I am reading based on the statements of the cast who were present during the conference that their experience in making MUNDO MAN AY MAGUNAW has been like a bonding activity or a sort of a spiritual experience for all of them including funny man and former PBB housemate JAYSON GAINZA who was also present in the event.
While they feel happy because of the show’s consistent triumph in the ratings game and the positive feedback they have been receiving from TV viewers, the whole cast are also saddened because they will miss their regular bonding on the set.
For Empress, being part of “Mundo Man” has been a huge blessing.
“I’ve learned so much from the veteran actors in the show. I think even if I’m not part of ‘Mundo Man ay Magunaw,’ I’ll still be proud of it because of its great story and well execution on TV,” Empress said.
Meanwhile, Nikki discovered the actress in her even more because of “Mundo Man.” According to her,
“I’ve learned a lot not only about acting but also many other things about myself. I’m very thankful to be given the chance to work with senior stars in ‘Mundo Man’ because they’ve taught me a lot about being an artist and being a person.”
Eula Valdez and Sylvia Sanchez was very much impressed with Nikki Gil’s acting in the afternoon soap. They even said that she could be the next CHERRIE GIL.
Ejay, on the other hand, admitted that he is going to miss ‘playing’ with his co-actors on the set.
“We really enjoyed doing this drama series. It’s like we’re not working because we’re always playing and laughing during the set. We’ve become like a real happy family that is why it’s easier for us to work.”
The Cast with Executive Producer Nars
Executive Producer NARS GULMATICO gave a short message to cast, while veteran movie writer SALVADOR ROYALES said that he feels very proud of ABS-CBN’s TV version of his precious masterpiece “Mundo Man ay Magunaw,” which was first adapted in a movie top billed by the Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces along with Nida Blanca, Alicia Vergel and Dante Rivero.
According to Royales, it overwhelms him to read the positive feedbacks of the avid fans regarding the great portrayal of Empress, Nikki Gil, Ejay Falcon, and Eula Valdes of their characters in the afternoon drama series.
Writer Salvador Royales
“TV viewers here and abroad responded very well with the family-oriented story of ‘Mundo Man ay Magunaw,” he said. “In fact, because of the series’ well-delivered conflicts and confrontations, even I am very thrilled to watch the upcoming episodes.”
The veteran writer also shared that, “The directors Jeffrey Jeturian and Regz del Carmen, likewise, did a very good job in directing. Their shots were beautiful and they were able to execute simple scenes very well.”
