Have a blast and let your kids sweat it out this summer by learning Capoeira! Learn all about this traditional Brazilian form of dance/martial arts from the members of Escola Brasileira de Capoeira. The sessions are open to all kids from 8 – 12 years old.

As an introductory workshop to the fundamentals of Capoeira, students will be exposed to:
Basic movements of Capoeira (ginga, defense and attack movements, acrobatics)
Basic instrumentation of Capoeira (berimbau, atabaque, pandeiro, agogó)
Basic Portuguese language and songs of Capoeira
As their culminating activity, students together with their instructor will present their very own Capoeira Roda (Circle) to their peers and Museo Pambata community sharing the culture of Capoeira in its traditional setting as is practiced worldwide.
