If you’re heading north, check out and experience the wonders of life under the sea in the Sea Explorers World exhibition at the SM City North EDSA Skygarden.

Sea Explorers World features replicas of nine of the most famous sea creatures in the world.  As you stroll along the stretch of SM City North EDSA’s SkyGarden, you’ll come across these new addition to the awesome outdoor experience:

  • Dolphin Lagoon
  • Orca, The Killer Whale Pool
  • Walrus Shores
  • Sea Lion Coast
  • Emperor Penguin Park
  • Showstopper Hammerhead Sharks
  • The Great White Shark
  • Sea Turtle Reefs
  • Pelican Aviary

I was there last April 27 during the formal launching of the exhibit.  Kids will surely learn a lot from the exhibit because aside from the awesome life-like replicas, it also has voice narratives and trivia boards.  Just like in a real interactive museum.

Sea Explorers World will run until May 31, 2012.

Here are some actual pictures of the exhibit:

About the SkyGarden:

The SkyGarden is a long, elevated curvilinear park, which offers much needed green space, not only for the mall, but also for the city as a whole.  It buffers the mall from the busy EDSA intersection, and serves as a living, organic link between Th Block, The City Center and The Annex.

SkyGarden has about 55 species of plants, grass and trees that grow on a special type of garden soil that offers a lightweight effect on the structure.  A truly green garden that has a special type of drainage system that allows it to conserve water.

The SkyGarden, aside from its latest Sea Explores World Exhibit, also has a simulated river flowing at the center and waterfalls at the edge of the second floor.

The SkyGarden is also home from North Metro’s premiere entertainment destination The Sky Dome.
