PLACES: Summer 2012 – Ricky Reyes’ Golden Sunset Resort in Calatagan, Batangas

There were a lot of private beach clubs in Nasugbu, Batangas but if you want something that is a really different experience from the ordinary beach resort, then you’ll have to travel to the other side of Nasugbu, Batangas and head on to Barangay Uno, Calatagan, Batangas for Golden Sunset Village Resort and Spa.

Owned and operated by renowned entrepreneur and beauty expert Ricky Reyes, Golden Sunset Village Resort and Spa is just a two and a half hour drive from south Manila.  From Nasugbu, take a left turn to Lian, this road will lead you straight to Calatagan.

The whole family can go biking, boating or fishing at the resort pond, or stroll along the sandy boardwalk and marvel at the setting sun.

The place is also surrounded with all kinds of pools.  Giant pools, wading pool, pool fountains and slides, jacuzzi pool to cool you down this summer.

There is also an outdoor museum, a butterfly sanctuary, an octave videoke bar, an outdoor cinema and weekend shows like the Balsa Show, Cultural Show and Critters Parade.

It was already late in the afternoon when we arrived at the resort so before our tour, we had first our lunch at one of the dining places inside the village resort.  It’s called Cocina de Oro and we ordered everyone’s favorite ‘Sinigang na Baboy,’ Pancit Canton and Liempo.

Here’s a look inside Golden Sunset, their rooms and cottages and our entire visit:

    • raindeocampo says:

Usually the entrance fee is included in the package already.. for a day tour – 300.00/head includes entrance fees, use of swimming pool and volleyball court. :) You may want to contact them to get the actual rates this summer.
