I’ve first heard of ADOBO CONNECTION months ago when they opened a branch at the SM City Sta. Mesa (Centerpoint) but never got the chance to taste their food yet.  So when I was invited for an ADOBO CONNECTION food tasting event last February 22 at their Shaw Boulevard store I was really thrilled.

Excited!  Why?  Because, ADOBO CONNECTION is launching a full set of improved menu and I’ll be one of the first to taste the dishes. 🙂  The new menu will be introduced first at the Shaw branch located at the G/F, Shaw 500 Building, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City.

Here are the excellent dishes that I’ve tasted, First the house specialties:

Kuya’s Fried Mixed Adobo – The perfect adobo!  (119.00)
Adobo Flakes! Perfect crunchy flakes
Modern Nutty Pork Adobo – different but delicious (119.00)
Chicken Adobo sa Gata – one hot adobo dish (109.00)
Gising-Gising – my favorite! thinly sliced crunchy baguio beans in gata topped with siling labuyo (29.00/89.00)

And just when I thought that all the dishes were already served, another set came out from the ADOBO CONNECTION kitchent:

Fish and Tofu Adobo – for the Cuaresma  (99.00)
Adobong Pusit – one of the best tasting adobong pusit i’ve ever tasted (129.00)
Beef Kare-Kare (129.00)
Poqui-Poqui – eggplant with tomatoes and egg (29.00/89.00)
Pork Adobo Rice – a delicious meal for students and the budget conscious (49.00)
Sizzling Pork Binagoongan – yummy! (169.00)

And for dessert:

Flan Turon (29.00)

The Verdict:  We have a unanimous decision.  We’ll surely come back to ADOBO CONNECTION again!  Their meats are very tender and everything tastes great plus they also serve beers.  Thanks to OpenRice for the invite. 🙂
