October 30, 2011 – It’s a holiday. Finally, some time to visit and do some catch up with old friends. After visiting our beloved friend, former boss, adviser and Ninong Msgr. Jun Tantoco at his residence in Arzobizpado de Manila together with CYO friends from Pasay City – Tam and I went to Starbucks UN with Fr. Jerome Cruz and Gerald Gooco for coffee.
It has been a very busy 2011 and this was one of the rare opportunities this year that we were able to sit down and talk with friends.
Fr. Jerome went ahead, the three of us stayed for a few minutes more and then decided to go to Harbour Square at the CCP to take our late lunch and continue our chat.
Surprisingly, most of the restaurants are open.
Another thing that we just realized, almost all of the food stops inside Harbour Square belongs to Pancake House Group – Pancake House, Dencio’s, Sizzlin Pepper Steak, Teriyaki Boy, Singkit, Army Navy and Yellow Cab Pizza.
Harbour Square is famous for late afternoon and evening activities just like everything else on this side of the Metro – like Blue Wave Strip, SM Mall of Asia, Star City-Aliw Theater and the whole stretch of Macapagal Avenue.
Anyway, we just went there for lunch and here are the dishes that we ordered at TERiYAKI BOY: Tonkatsu, Chicken Ju, Ebi Tempura, Yakemeshi, Crazy California and Shakes
The food is great – Gerald loved the wasabi – Their shakes are a little too sweet for my taste and I don’t know if this is Japanese tradition, but all of the drinks that I’ve tasted from all the Japanese fast food and restaurants I’ve been to are just too sweet. Or is it just me. :) Service is fast and courteous – we were the only customers. hehe
