What’s it look like way up North of the Metro?

When we speak of Fairview and Lagro, Two huge malls always comes to mind – SM FAIRVIEW and Robinsons’ NOVA MARKET.  I recently visited the area to check out what’s cooking inside these two malls this Christmas Season and how is it different from the other malls.  Here’s what I saw:

SM Fairview Quirino Entrance
The Main Activity Center

If the SM Mall of Asia have that Christmas Globe and Village.. SM Fairview has this 3D Floor Design Winter Wonderland complete with a small winter castle backdrop and moving (mechanical) reindeer and winged horses.

This is a little off theme, but beside this Christmas themed display is a mechanical bull ride – similar to those you’ll find in rodeo shows and cowboy bars.

And a Bungee Jumping Trampoline Ride.

Aside from this and some cosmetic changes, renovations and stall transfers, everything is the same as when I last saw the place.

A huge Christmas tree in the middle of a Greenhills-type tiangge at the parking area – now that’s something new!

However, inside, not much has changed.  Just the hanging Christmas themed designs and the small altar area at the 2nd floor.

Outside the Nova Market and beside the tricycle terminal a Fiesta Carnival Amusement Park was constructed complete with all the “Perya” rides and attractions that will surely draw some crowds this Christmas even after mall hours.

One thing for sure with the two malls, they both have lots of shopping options, entertainment and food choices!  After all, Christmas is also known nowadays as Mall Season!
